The environment strips your kit down fast. Carrying ~40 pounds of camera gear is part of the job, so everything else needs to earn its place. Thankfully, the MEC TGV 2 pulled its own weight at high camp. Fast setup, solid ventilation for cooking, pockets that kept gear organized, and a strong floor. Worth every gram.

It’s officially Member Month at MEC and we’re kicking things off by celebrating the members who start their adventures at MEC.

Today we’re shining the spotlight on @jinny.montpetit.photography, a professional wildlife photographer and videographer based out of Montreal, and proud longtime MEC member. Working in harsh, ever-changing conditions, her gear plays a vital role in keeping her comfortable and connected to the environments she captures.
