☀️A few words on my 28th cycle…
First off, I would like to thank everyone who’s crossed my path: good times or tough ones. Your presence has shaped who I am today. Every experience has been a lesson, a mirror, and a moment of growth.
Past few weeks, I’ve sat with the question of what I truly want from this life. I know I’m happiest when creating core memories with my community. I’m fueled by the joy of music, whether performing live or spinning vinyl. Nature has shown me there’s always more to learn, and sometimes things can’t be explained.
This year, I’ve loved deeply and let go of people I never thought I’d have to live without. No deaths, thankfully, but losses that still leave echoes. My biggest lesson has been recognizing that “moving forward” doesn’t mean forgetting; it means living with memories and using them to grow and shape the future.
We get to choose how we show up in this life.
We can exist in frustration, or we can try to find joy, even in the smallest things (do your best!). I know the world is heavy, often loud with chaos. I’m not pretending it’s easy. But this is my reminder to myself (and maybe to you): we can choose happiness. We can be the calm in the storm and influence the world by how we treat each other.
Live with gratitude. Live with love. Everything can shift in a moment, and what you’re seeking might already be on its way. I hope we can all do a little better for one another. I believe in a kinder world. And I’ve come to realize: the desire to be “right” is often just our need to be seen. So I ask myself… is it better to be right, or to be happy?
These photos are checkpoints of my happiness, screenshots from the start of the northeastern journey. A specific joy I don’t want to question but embrace every day. I’m still seeking that feeling, but trust it’ll find me again.
This year, I want to deepen my connection to community. I’ve created spaces and events that bring people together, and I’m hoping for more opportunities to collaborate with creatives in our ecosystem.
I asked folks to write me a letter today to reignite that connection. Here’s to creating, evolving, and choosing joy. ❤️ Thanks for being part of the journey!
