Brutalist-style data centers channel a stark, sculptural beauty through raw materials and stripped-back design. Poured concrete walls, exposed steel conduits, and stone flooring form a space that feels both powerful and serene. There is no softness—only clarity of form, mass, and texture.
Minimal, dramatic lighting casts deep shadows that emphasize geometry, turning infrastructure into art. These interiors evoke an almost meditative stillness, where function becomes visually commanding. The aesthetic is austere, not cold—an atmosphere defined by structural honesty and an unexpected, monumental calm.

Regenerative Materials explores a new generation of surfaces designed to give back more than they take. Moving beyond sustainability, these materials aim to restore ecosystems, regenerate natural resources, and support circular systems within the built environment.
Natural textures, recycled content, and bio-based innovations create a palette rooted in the rhythms of nature. Soft greens, earthy tones, and mineral hues evoke organic cycles while highlighting materials developed through more responsible approaches to production and resource use.
Together, they reflect a shift in design thinking—where interiors and architecture become part of a regenerative process that supports healthier environments and more resilient ecosystems.

Whispering the quiet elegance of contemporary Japan, Tokyo Stillness captures the harmony between craft and calm. Charcoal hues meet the softness of washi-inspired surfaces, while subtle metallics and dark woods lend depth and refinement. Each material speaks to balance — between light and shadow, natural imperfection and human precision. The result is a tranquil aesthetic that embodies restraint, contemplation, and sophistication.

Last week at Milan Design Week, we spoke with Piero Lissoni (Lissoni & Partners) about FIVE SENSES — his immersive exhibition for Elle Decor Italia at Palazzo Bovara.
Conceived as a sensory journey, the installation explored how materials, light, sound and spatial composition shape our perception of interiors. Each room activated a different sense, building a narrative that moved beyond aesthetics into atmosphere and experience.
Within the exhibition, a dedicated section developed with Material Bank presented a selection of materials curated by Piero Lissoni, focusing on tactility, tonal balance and material interplay.
