The lines you dream of… they don’t come easy. The crew’s persistence through the down days led to an unforgettable session once the skies opened. Moments like this are why we do it.
This is one of the many memorable days captured by @markrainery this season. Excited to see more moments from his aerial lens as he sifts through the hard drives over the summer. #rprtrightcrew

Excited to be a part of the next @markrainery snowboard project. It’s so awesome to be involved with such a grassroots program. In my 30 plus years of production work I’ve never seen such a chill crew operating at such a high level. With team members like @lurcas @rylandbell @krizzybomb and friends it will be fun to see how this wraps up. #rprteightcrew

“It’s not easy being a snowboarder in Haines, AK. Maybe that’s why so few actually live here. But this is how they get it done—early ups, daily driving, and a lot of sweat equity.” — Colin Wiseman, “Sweat Equity in Southeast Alaska,” Issue 21.4.

Originally published in print in Issue 21.4, this exclusive story featuring @rylandbell, @markrainery and more is now available on the site as part of our limited print-to-web series. Join us for a free showing of “The Outliers 4” at Blue & Gold Boardshop this sunday. The filmmaker, Mark Rainery, will also be there to present the film and answer questions about his experiences during production.
The Outliers series is filmed in Alaska, featuring Alaskan riders in the most insane freeride terrain the last frontier has to offer. Incredible visuals combined with top-tier riding in the state you call home. It doesnt get much better.
This is a free event. We encourage you to bring a friend and tell many more so we can support our local filmmakers.
