Here's some unused designs for the blood eel! The first ever rough is the first image, already featuring the skulls merged with her face and the vein gills. The second idea was a combination of two human faces, which, when blurred or blasted with light, was supposed to better mimic the face of an actual creature. The two eye sockets at the center were made to be a big nasal cavity. The second idea also had the start of the eel's tail being made up of fragmenting human bodies. These are rougher concepts and obviously less rendered than the final, but I hope you enjoy!

First look of the eel and the very first concept I got to work on for Iron Lung! This was the final design, after a few iterations and crazy jaw ideas. She's a thing of beauty and I was absolutely stoked to have the opportunity of bringing her to life! Thank you so much to Mark and Amy for trusting me with this amazing creature.
More will come of other concepts I had the chance to work on, including rejected designs, unused ones, and other subjects.

Whatever happens, wherever it lands, this has been the most fun weekend I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you everyone so much for taking the time to watch Iron Lung!
Iron Lung is officially showing in theaters today! It has been awesome sharing the music with you this week and I will be sharing more as I create some "How it was made" shorts for here. Thank you so much for the support and I hope you enjoy the film!

"PTSD" was really just inspired by Marks performance. He portrays the "5 stages of grief" REALLY well but I personally identified with the specific scene this music was made for. He nails it and I wanted to do my best to make sure he had something to match it behind him.

"The Shakes" was written on set on my laptop about 50 ft away from Mark while he was performing the last shots of the film. After we listened back to it we both agreed that it would be the motif of the film. It uses a large piece of sheet metal being oscillated with a theragun as the lead instrument.

The film comes out Jan 30th!
