Working Memory has been developed during my Somerset House Studios Assembly residency. The material here is exploratory and much of what appears on 28 March will be performed publicly for the first time.

Working Memory brings together improvisation, song composition and live audiovisual processing to explore how memory fragments, deteriorates and reforms through media.

Using their beautiful methodology, I have been working with an exceptional individual called Dominique. Together, we have been discovering ways to improve and sustain her access to dance - something which brings so much joy to her life on so many levels. The process has involved lots of long discussions over rose tea, countless fabric tests, vast amounts of textiles research, and so much laughter!

I am in the final stages of this project, which is still expanding in unexpected directions. I have really enjoyed using The Exception Method, and letting things emerge in a way which has felt so natural and organic.
