this was a special one. Of all the growth and lessons since our first attempt in 2024 the most important takeaway was patience. Monday proved that we were right to abandon our previous attempts and discern between minimise-able inherent risk to the sport and foolishness. The mountain’s not going anywhere but you might not get another chance at it if you push too far. Patience paid off and @riccardogresino and I had the entirety of Mt Whitney, in all its 14,505 ft (4,421m) of majesty, to ourselves.
