Here are 5 choruses of Schu-Schu, written long ago by myself and guitarist Eric Vogler. In the 1st chorus, we hear only the bass line (which "little Lorin" plays throughout). I state the tune's melody in the 4th chorus.
Let me write a few words about these upcoming LA-area shows:
The 1st one "speaks for itself" ;)
The 2nd one will involve a very diverse set of improvisers working in a decidedly open fashion, and quite possibly referring to seed material from well outside our nominal idiom.
The 3rd one will be quite a doozy... Asher has collected a gaggle of notable vocalists AND vocal-group arrangers to (and I'm not kidding here!) tackle various short solo improvisations of MINE and craft them into group pieces!! (those are my usual ones from my good ole' bathroom!). And then I'll be improvising with these singers betwixt and between these offerings.
The Holly Martins goes on at 7pm tomorrow.
