TONIGHT at @2220arts!

Join us for a night celebrating Black femme stories in animation! Featuring Marguerite Abouet and Clément Oubrerie’s 2013 animated feature film 𝒜𝓎𝒶 𝑜𝒻 𝒴𝑜𝓅 𝒞𝒾𝓉𝓎, alongside a selection of animated shorts from Black femme, LGBTQ, and other emerging animators.

We’re also excited to announce the addition of Amarise DeFranco’s 𝐿𝒜𝒦𝒜𝒴 to the shorts program! 𝐿𝒜𝒦𝒜𝒴 follows a young girl who is transported to her family’s home country of Haiti with a familiar stranger, discovering more about who she is and where she comes from.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, screening begins at 7:30 pm, 𝒜𝓎𝒶 𝑜𝒻 𝒴𝑜𝓅 𝒞𝒾𝓉𝓎, 84 mins. Shorts program, 52 mins. There will be a 15 min intermission in between 𝒜𝓎𝒶 𝑜𝒻 𝒴𝑜𝓅 𝒞𝒾𝓉𝓎 and the shorts program.
