If youโve ever tried to change your life but keep ending up back in the same cycles, itโs rarely because youโre lazy or incapable. (Could be, but letโs assume notโฆ)
Itโs normally because youโre trying to do too much at once. Youโre making everything a priority without ever stopping to decide what actually matters.
When everything feels important, nothing gets your full attention. You spread your energy thinly across a long list of โshouldsโ and by the end of the week feel behind on all of them.
Then comes the big weekend reset, with all its promises of a fresh start on Monday - โfuture me will do it!โ
And then the pattern repeats.
Real sustainable change starts with deciding what actually deserves to be on your plate (and then scraping off the rest).
It comes from choosing a small number of priorities that genuinely matter to you in this particular time in life, and then making sure that those are what take up space in your days.
Not ten goals, not some complete life overhaul. Just a few clear priorities that you can consistently show up for, even on the weeks that feel busy or messy (which letโs be honest, is most weeks!)
When your priorities are clear, your decisions become simpler.
Time stops feeling quite so stretched and progress starts to compound in a way that actually lasts.

1. Think process over outcome. Sounds counterintuitive to stop focusing on the goal itself but becoming invested in the actuality (banality!) of achieving it actually makes it easier to achieve.
2. Think consistency over intensity. Progress can take a long time to become visible, donโt give up, slowly slowly wins the race.
3. Stop relying on motivation, itโs fickle and unpredictable. Donโt depend on it to meet your goals - create systems to fall back on instead.
4. If everything is a priority, nothing is a priority. If your goals are important to you, stop making everything else just as important. Start deprioritising, quick.
5. Your identity is not fixed. Youโre allowed to shift and change and become a different person from the one you used to be.
6. Good things happen on the other side of discomfort and fear. Donโt shy away just because itโs hard or your nervous system is hesitant to change. (See also, stress can be good for you.)
7. Fuck what other people think. Itโs not their life. Itโs yours.
