Big Bill was a farmer for much of his childhood and youth, and his lyrics are full of references to the rural world. However, it would be quite naive not to notice the double meaning in this song. "Runaway Man Blues" (by Floyd "Dipper Boy" Council) Recorded around 1937 in North Carolina. Floyd Council also recorded two songs with Blind boy Fuller. He was also the "Floyd" in Pink Floyd's band name.
We jumped over that tree and played for one hour until the sun went down.
