We had 25ish minutes for the setup, I took a risk with the blue slash on the wall, but loved it for matching his backlight and creating interest. Then threw some MC Pros in the 3D printer behind. Feeling like a light painter more so every shoot. Contrast levels felt really solid on this one.

I’m starting to believe there’s not young hot singles in my area…

I have focused on getting my career rolling since graduating, and have neglected important things in life. I worked on social skills from high-school to college (coming from a homeschool background) ((learning disabilities)) and have slowly had good people in my life move away to different places while living in Grand Junction. My dating life has been completely turned off. Heck, I’ve only dated 2 women in my lifetime. Anyways. I want to get back to healthy in every area. Last year was so challenging, and now life is starting to look up. I need to live in the moment…in the good days. These are thoughts from someone who’s starting to understand the tough reality of adult life, but endlessly grateful for everything so far. It’s felt like a rollercoaster. Lucky to have my family, friends, faith, and everything else. Also I’ll try to post more.

If there’s anything I’ve learned in life, it’s that balance is such an important aspect of your longevity. For me, there are 5 aspects of life. When you are healthily taking care of all of them I find myself incredible happy. Spiritual, Social (family, friends, relationships), Health (fitness, nutrition, control over the body and mind), Creativity, and financial. Obviously I wish financial didn’t have to be on this list, but unfortunately it does. I went from being fully engrained in working in News and film too just working in film and tv. I am so grateful I am able to work in this crazy industry, and I’m making money doing it! However, I have struggled to find a balance in everything: I quit news, I make less money and invest more time into health. It’s winter, lots of my friends aren’t around, social goes down and it’s tough to stay on top. I know this is the game of life but man… the things that have come up in the last 12 months, car problems, new car problems, identity theft, horrific landlord, adapting to being forced to make money in freelance. All I know is the tough times sure she’d light on the little things that make you happy. I hope you’re doing well. Stay strong in tough times.

It’s funny how times change. Last year I was moving more into narrative work from commercial, and had jumped onto my first feature film. Since, I had to the opportunity to work on more features, shorts, and other projects, but being young I still hadn’t worked on a serious documentary yet. I started DPing and co-directing a feature length doc this fall, and it’s been going incredibly well up until this point, but what I find funny is as of last Friday I’m now officially a crew member on the third documentary I’ve worked on. All 3 projects happening within this fall window. I guess what I’m trying to say is, although it’s slow, keep moving towards your goals. I have been scared more times than I can count these last few years becoming a freelance cinematographer. Keep moving forward. Also thank you guys for over 1k views on the demo reel!

You might not be in the place you want to be right now. That’s okay, though. My dad has always taught me that finding something you love, then trying to do it better than anyone else is how you become successful or make money doing what you love. I am finishing up my shift and will have worked 60hours the last 5 days. I’m tired, I want a break, and I feel incredibly uncomfortable working a new job in news, but it’s all for growth. I have finished editing so many photos using the Canon FD SSC series from this year, and I love them. The characteristics are gorgeous, colors are nice, razor thin focus when wide open. Might be rehousing some of the nice lenses in the future🤩

Hey! It’s me. I wanted to make a public announcement. This is probably not the announcement you who know me are waiting for, BUT! I am stressed. I don’t find myself stressed often, but between starting a new job at a news station (thank you Trinidy, Karinna, and Kyrsten for helping me get the job) and getting prepped for publicly releasing a new production company… my car has decided to die. I am considering holding a funeral for the #blacura

I will also hold a commemorative post for the best car that has ever existed soon. But for the moment, I just wanted to share that the times are getting overwhelming for the moment. My apologies for horrific response times. I hope to get on top of this wave and eventually learn to surf it (that’s a metaphor)
