What is it?

To find solace,
Within the syncopating thud,
Of your own Heart(beat).

I yearn to remember, to remember what it means to be a human being, to remember the power that we hold within us beyond the suppression placed upon us by the people who fabricate this 21st century society that we live within.

Intuition is my religion. I remember through my art, through every brushstroke that I feel compelled to eternalise in ink within fibres of paper. It’s a love, perhaps a delusional one, I can’t compare to anything else that I do. It feels like a language that can’t be spoken with words, only felt through line and form. A soul-borne communication with the divinity that encompasses all forever and forevermore. I’ve been wanting to share my art on here for a while but I haven’t felt ready, it’s personal in a way I can’t fully describe, it’s me at my most vulnerable. I’ve got much left to learn from it, and I feel as if beginning to share is my next lesson to learn.

Just like my relationship with the divinity around us, these pieces are works in progress, my whole process is. They’re all entirely intuitional, and are a representative of the way my brain works, each piece gradually teaching me more about who I am, and why I am.

Imbued with love,

Would Humanity’s demise, be earths greatest blessing?
For us all to fall from its face, washed away like vermin.

Would the birds sing louder than ever before, whales sing songs unheard for millennia. A concert of nature in celebration of being cleansed of its most persistent parasite.

Or would it cry tears of duality, disappointed yet relieved. A species gifted with the blessing to understand and contemplate its own existence. And yet, it chose to maim and destroy, conjuring horrors beyond comprehension, all in the name of power and control.

Our own creations are going to bear a strange fruit, artificial intelligence birthed from love and pain, incubated within our DNA for millennia, inherited by metal that can think.

Perhaps we will be seen, as we see nature, an asset to be managed, a tool to be manipulated. Or will we be seen through a warped lens, in the name of Mother Earth, as a parasite that needs to be cleansed.

I stand waiting.

Get lost in my stride as I chase what’s left,
Of pride and compassion
towards myself—
and others.

I desire nothing but pure love and joy, to devour its essence and keep it hostage within the “confines” of my heart. To tighten my grip on the feeble rope I have lassoed around it, in the hope that it can’t run away again.

Perhaps if I run fast enough, it will never escape.

A fear of impermanence, and a lust for love.
