빙하연구가들이 아이슬란드의 사라진 빙하의 이름을 돌에 새겨 간직한다는 것에서 착안한 이 작품은 이미 사라졌거나 앞으로 사라질 빙하들을 기념하는 형식을 취한다. 과거의 존재를 돌에 새기고 기념하는 행위는 그들의 존재를 잊었을 때 현재 우리가 겪게 될 재앙을 알리기 위한 경고가 될 수 있을 것이다.
이미 늦었을지 모를 기후변화에 대한 행동 촉구를 담은 이 작품은 한국현대사의 상흔을 안고 도시 전체가 추모비가 된 광주의 상징성을 내포하고 있으며 동시에 빛고을 광주의 밝은 미래에 대한 염원을 담고 있다.

빙하연구가들이 아이슬란드의 사라진 빙하의 이름을 돌에 새겨 간직한다는 것에서 착안한 이 작품은 이미 사라졌거나 앞으로 사라질 빙하들을 기념하는 형식을 취한다. 과거의 존재를 돌에 새기고 기념하는 행위는 그들의 존재를 잊었을 때 현재 우리가 겪게 될 재앙을 알리기 위한 경고가 될 수 있을 것이다.
이미 늦었을지 모를 기후변화에 대한 행동 촉구를 담은 이 작품은 한국현대사의 상흔을 안고 도시 전체가 추모비가 된 광주의 상징성을 내포하고 있으며 동시에 빛고을 광주의 밝은 미래에 대한 염원을 담고 있다.

우연히 들어간 식물가게. 아프리카 식물들을 접했다. 세월의 흔적이 쌓이는 게 보인다는 식물이라며 초보자도 키울 수 있다는 말과 힘께 용기를 북돋아주셔서 새 식구를 들였다. 첫 눈에 너무 귀여웠다. 저 잎이 떨어지면 상처처럼 점 같는 딱지가 생긴단다. 그 점 하나하나가 시간이다. 새 식구, 어서 와!
