It’s been one year since I started writing. Actually that’s a lie, I’ve known how to do that for a while, but pursing it as a career…It’s been a solid 12 months (if I do say so myself).
It started as a thought, an “oh maybe I can do this” that turned into a plan hatched in a coffee shop in Clapton with @juliastanton_ and a pitch sent shortly later. Writing freelance alongside working a full-time gig is far from easy, but it’s also hugely rewarding. At a pace I can own; I’ve written 16 pieces for 10 publications, interviewed incredible talent, worked with inspiring editors, read my stories to a crowd and gotten to see my words in print. So yeah, a solid year, don’t you think?
For my anniversary, I’ve launched a newsletter (which you may have seen and already subscribed to [# linkinbio]), called Dust Bunny. The home to the 2 cents you found under your couch 🐇
