I am a first-generation Latina immigrant from Costa Rica and a social worker currently pursuing my LCSW. My journey into this field is deeply personal. Throughout the years, I have faced my own mental health challenges and have been diagnosed with major depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and, more recently, adult ADHD.
These experiences have shaped not only who I am as a person, but also the empathy and understanding I bring into my work with others. Along my healing journey, photography became a powerful therapeutic outlet for me — a way to process emotions, reconnect with myself, and find beauty and meaning even during difficult times.
Today, I hope to use both my professional training and lived experience to support and empower others in their own healing journeys.
