After taking some much-needed time off and looking at a few different opportunities, I made the decision that felt most aligned with the evolution of my career — and what I want this next chapter to look like.
For years, I covered Los Angeles as a news reporter — the breaking stories, the neighborhoods, the people, and the moments that shaped this city in real time.
Now, I get to cover LA in a new way. Still rooted in journalism, but with more room for culture, lifestyle, long-form storytelling, in-depth profiles, interviews, podcast programming, original video, digital news, and social-first storytelling.
I’ve loved Los Angeles Magazine for decades because it has always captured this city with intelligence, style, curiosity, and edge. And to now be part of a magazine with 65 years of LA legacy feels incredibly meaningful.
We’re building something new here — and I can’t wait to bring stories from this city, and from the LA Mag archives, to life in a whole new way.

Tyler Glasnow’s return to the mound is officially on pause.
The Dodgers ace has been shut down from throwing after his back “flared up,” according to manager Dave Roberts, adding another major concern to an already battered rotation.

A mother reported her teenage son missing after he allegedly took guns from the family home and drove off in her car. Hours later, police say he and another teen opened fire outside the Islamic Center of San Diego, killing three people before both suspects were found dead from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
Investigators say anti-Islamic writings were discovered inside the vehicle. Authorities across California are now increasing patrols around mosques and houses of worship in response to the attack.
