International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) are the highest-credentialed lactation experts with the only internationally recognized certification in the field of lactation. They help you work through common lactation and infant feeding issues, such as first latch and weaning, milk supply and pumping — and everything in between.

Whether you’re breastfeeding your first or your fifth, there is *always* wisdom to be gained from working with an IBCLC. Because let’s face it, every breastfeeding journey is unique, and having a seasoned expert by your side is invaluable.

You’ve prepared for birth… but what about everything that comes after?

The part where your body is healing, your hormones are shifting, you’re barely sleeping—and you’re trying to care for a newborn while figuring out what you actually need.

Join us for What to Expect After You’re Expecting: What You and Your Body Really Need After Baby—an honest, expert-led conversation on postpartum recovery and what this season really requires.

Featuring:
✨Addy Grier-Welch, MS, MPH, RDN (Clinical Affairs & Healthcare Director, @Ritual)
✨ Leah Tribus, IBCLC (@lactationnetwork)
✨ Sara Reardon (Pelvic Floor Therapist, @the.vagina.whisperer)
✨ Lo Mansfield, RN, MSN, RNC-OB, CLC (Postpartum Educator)
✨Moderated by Dr. Manasa Mantravadi (@ahimsahomeusa)

We’ll cover what your body needs to heal, what’s normal (and what’s not), feeding realities, and how to build real support before you’re in the thick of it.

✨ Wednesday, May 13
✨ 2:00 PM EDT
✨ Virtual

This conversation is supported by @Ritual, a brand focused on science-backed nutrition for women through every stage of motherhood. Their research highlights just how demanding the postpartum period is—and how important proper nutritional support can be during recovery and breastfeeding.

You can’t plan for everything — but you can plan your support.

So much of pregnancy prep focuses on birth and baby, but the real challenge often begins after. Sleep, feeding, recovery, mental health — it’s a lot to carry alone.

Join us for The Care Team Checklist: Building Support Before You Burn Out, a powerful conversation moderated by @nurtureandco, featuring experts across lactation, sleep, mental health, and pelvic floor recovery:

✨ Leah Tribus, @lactationnetwork
✨ Sarah Oreck, Founder of @mavidahealth
✨ Rachael Shepard-Ohta, Founder of @heysleepybaby
✨ Dr. Alexandra Bertucci, PT at @theoriginway

Together, we’ll walk through what real postpartum support looks like — and how to build a care team that helps you thrive, not just survive.

“There’s this unrealistic expectation that somehow, it’s gonna click. And that’s just not how this works. It’s a process… there’s conditioning that has to happen. This is the first time you’re going to teach your baby something and it takes time.”

If your feeding journey ends up differently than you’d planned, that doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

It means you love your child enough to pivot to the path that’s right for both of you.

Let’s bust another myth with Leah Tribus of @lactationnetwork : babies are born knowing how to breastfeed.

Nope. False. In fact, babies don’t even have what we commonly call a ‘hunger reflex’ right away.

Some babies might latch more quickly than others, but it’s completely normal to have to teach a baby how to eat.

In most workplaces — whether that’s in an office, on the factory floor, at home, or somewhere entirely different — lactating parents have the right to pump or feed at work through the Break Time for Nursing Mothers law, an amendment to the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

This law requires certain employers to provide lactating parents with reasonable break time and a functional, private space to pump for one year after the baby’s birth. Know your rights, advocate for yourself, and remember, you’re not alone in this 💛

❤️‍🔥 NEW EPISODE ALERT ❤️‍🔥

We looove to bust a myth.

Myth #1 that we crack wide open in our newest episode, courtesy of Leah Tribus at @lactationnetwork: all baby feeding journeys are the same.

Not all women want to breastfeed. Just like not all women want to pump, or not all women want to use formula. And outside of our WANTS, sometimes our babies and their health will dictate which direction we take.

The point is, knowledge is power. And being prepared before it’s actually go-time can make the difference between a happy, fulfilled feeding experience and a frustrating, disappointing one.

Learn about your options and how to take control of your postpartum feeding journey at the link in our bio!
