Documenting my FFS journey and creating this vlog has been such a beautiful way to reflect on this experience. In many ways, recording some of my most vulnerable moments after surgery, watching them back, and choosing what I want to share with you all feels like keeping a video diary β and letting my friends peek into certain paragraphs on different pages.
Editing this entire vlog on my iPhone has been tedious at times, my laptop broke lol, but incredibly rewarding nonetheless. I am so excited to finally share a part of this journey with yall!
In times like this, I think itβs so important to share our stories β to show ourselves being loved, to show the complexity and strength we carry as trans women, and to show how beautiful our lives can be when we are allowed to be ourselves and are given access to vital gender affirming healthcare.
I am unbelievably grateful for my mom and sister, who took the best care of me and poured so much love into my recovery on my hardest days. Thank you so, so, so much to everyone who donated to my GoFundMe. You truly made my recovery and my time away from work so much more comfortable and supported.
