My father served this country with honor, strength, and sacrifice. A Vietnam veteran, he represented resilience, courage, and what it truly means to stand for something bigger than yourself. I’m forever proud to call Edward Johnson Jr. my dad. God truly blessed me with an amazing father whose love, wisdom, and presence helped shape the men myself and lil bro @sokajun are today.

The pain of losing him will never go away. Some days are heavier than others. But what helps me push through are the memories… the laughs, the lessons, the conversations, and simply watching the way he carried himself through life. Those moments live with me forever.

Seeing generations of our family standing together in his honor reminds me that his legacy is still alive. His service mattered. His life mattered. And his love will continue to guide us long after his physical presence is gone. Job well done, Dad. 🙏🏾👑✊🏾🏆🙌🏽🪖🫶🏾

I was blessed to be raised by two incredible men, my biological dad and my stepdad. Both helped shape the man I am today.

In this photo, I’m standing with both of them… and this was only 5 years ago.

I lost my biological father to #dementia, and now watching my stepdad battle the same disease. it’s a different kind of pain! To see two of the strongest men I know slowly fade is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Still, I carry them with me every day—and I live as a reflection of everything they built.

That’s why DERBY LUXE “RACING FOR MEMORIES” is more than just my birthday celebration—it’s purpose, awareness, and a tribute to them.
