Day 5 of Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week 2026 culminated at the Festival Village at @sentuldepot, where the format opened up into a full-scale, all-day experience powered by @funnow.my.

Running from 1.30pm to 11.30pm, the village brought together over 30 spirit brands, with cocktails served alongside live sets from @tracia____, @realwaynewonder, @iraroslan, @thebeardedcameragod and @dj.ziqq. The programme expanded beyond drinking, with complimentary masterclasses, curated food vendors, and interactive elements that kept the pace constant throughout the day.

The night carried on with the official after party, @lane23.kl x @aquabarbangkok @ryan.dvega with a special appearance by @dicky.firefly, extending the energy into a late session backed by Chivas Regal, Malfy, Martell, and Código 1530.

🍸🔥We are still thinking about the final night of @klcwofficial 2026. The week closed on a high with a pairing dinner by @yellowfinhorse @elseretreats and @threexco_kl

The cocktail pairing menu showcased spirits from Farmer’s Gin, Los Siete Misterios, and Mitcher’s, with Amanda, Rachel and Joseph from Three X Co and Chef Jun at the helm of the kitchen.

🥔 The evening opened with “POP” — paired with crispy potato pavé with torched mentaiko mayo. Crunchy layers met creamy, smoky umami richness, while the cocktail combined Farmer’s Reserve Strength Gin, sweet potato shrub, tsuyu, Perrier sparkling water, and smoked salt mist for a bright sparkling finish.

🍣 Next came a duo of tuna tartare on sourdough toast. One featured house-aged soy sauce and kulim oil, while the other leaned herbaceous with sweet basil pesto. The earthy, wild mushroom-like aroma of kulim oil paired beautifully with “SNAP,” a mezcal-forward cocktail built with Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej, hazelnut syrup, fino sherry, and basil — smoky, nutty, and refreshing all at once.

🐚 The seafood course showcased Hokkaido scallop carpaccio soaked overnight in kombu for deeper marine sweetness. Paired with a clear consommé enriched with Jinhua ham and topped with smoked beef cecina and olive oil, the dish layered savoury umami with clean freshness. “SNAP” continued here, its crisp smoky profile cutting elegantly through the richness of the scallops and cured meat.

🥩 For the main course, Chef Jun Wong presented grilled Australian wagyu skirt steak charred over charcoal to medium rare. Served with shallot mustard cream sauce and baby herb salad dressed in pickled torch ginger flower vinaigrette, popped quinoa, and fried garlic, the dish balanced indulgence with brightness and texture.
