Honored to be named an inaugural member of LUXE NEXT! 🤍
KKBI started because of my love of design and obsession with helping people. When asked what makes me happiest, my answer has always been the same: making other people happy. Corny, sure. But my family would say the same without hesitation. That’s why being able to channel that into a creative career is something I don’t take for granted.
Today, that passion is something we share as a team. To be recognized for doing the two things we care about most, creating beautiful spaces and supporting others, is incredibly meaningful. I am truly grateful for this and for my rockstar team who brings KKBI to life every day!
Thank you to @luxemagazine and @jilleditsluxe for this recognition. We’re honored to be part of such an inspiring group and excited for what’s ahead!
#LUXENEXT2026

Had the best time refreshing my @fenimorelane Talk Shop interview ✨ Revisiting these questions after 2 years really made me smile — some answers stayed exactly the same, while others have evolved with time, motherhood, and experience. But all still feel true to who I am as both a designer and a person.
With so many new faces here, this feels like the perfect moment to reintroduce myself and KKB Interiors. Hi and welcome!! 🤍
But KKBI hasn’t been just me for a long time now. Behind the name is a team I’m so proud of — our core crew, extended collaborators, and the incredible village of artisans, tradespeople, and vendors we rely on. They are the heartbeat of every project and the reason this leap of mine became something real, meaningful, and lasting.

Kylie Bass spent years managing advertisers, deadlines, and high-stakes client relationships on the sales marketing team for the Today Show before making the leap into interior design. That background shaped everything about how she built @kkbinteriors.
In today’s episode, @anastasiacasey_ sits down with @kkbinteriors to talk about how a career in advertising translated into a sharper design practice. From pricing and proposals to client communication and studio structure, this conversation gets into the specific habits and frameworks behind a highly strategic, deeply personal studio.
A very special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, @loloirugs, the makers of beautifully crafted rugs, pillows, and wall art, and to our Episode Sponsor and Season Partner, @materio.co, the design platform helping interior designers source materials, manage specifications, and streamline project workflow.

Designer Kylie K. Bass knows it: "Homes are meant to be lived in and enjoyed, and the best ones reflect the real lives happening inside them." And when your studio is based in New York City, as is her firm, KKB Interiors, the diverse, well-traveled and culturally rich lives you get to reflect are a direct source of design inspiration. "Being in the heart of it all keeps me constantly inspired," shares Bass, who is featured in the LUXE NEXT Class of 2026. "The Upper East Side, in particular, aligns beautifully with my aesthetic."

Awkward wall space doesn’t make us think twice! For this UWS primary bedroom, we designed custom nightstands to work with the architecture of the room: one seamlessly extending over the PTAC unit beneath the window, and the other thoughtfully snug against the structural beam. We love this bedroom because it’s handsome and moody, yet incredibly inviting. #kkbinteriors

Hi guys!! 👋🏼 Wow, 2025. WHAT. A. RIDE! Sorry, long emo post incoming lol
This year asked more of me than I expected, but it also gave me more in return… Big wins, hard lessons, quiet moments of doubt, unexpected moments of pride, and SO much growth woven through it all. Every part of it shaped me, shaped this business, and clarified what truly matters.
My hot take: growing a business feels a lot like parenting?!?! Bigger dreams, higher stakes, bigger wins, and bigger challenges too. But somehow, even more pride in watching it grow into what it’s becoming.
I leaned into my instincts and led with intention, and even in the hardest moments, remained fully myself. That clarity and confidence shaped one of the most rewarding years of this business so far.
I’m deeply, DEEPLY grateful for the clients who trust us, whether for the first time or over many years. The ones I’ve grown with as their families and homes evolve, from nurseries to big kid rooms, first homes to second homes. 🥹 These relationships don’t end when a project does, and that’s what constantly reminds me why I do this, because at KKBI, we create spaces that hold their memories and then grow with them.
I’m ENDLESSLY grateful for my team!! For the care they bring to the details no one sees, the steadiness they provide, and the heart they bring to every project. Renovating my own apartment this year took more out of me than I expected, and they kept the ship afloat while I was internally drowning at times. Their support, professionalism, and commitment carried us through, and I couldn’t be more proud of how we show up together. I love you guys!!!!
I’m also incredibly thankful for the industry partners, artisans, and vendors I’ve grown alongside. The ones who share the same values, show up solution oriented, lead with respect, and always focus on doing the right thing for our clients. The people who work THROUGH the tough moments with me, not against me. Those are my people.
My heart is SO full looking ahead. 2026 feels expansive, exciting, and already full of momentum, with so much in the works that I’m already incredibly proud of. The best is still ahead ❤️🔥✨ #kkbinteriors
