🌈 Put it in your GCals and mind palaces - on Wed Sept 13th @charcarbone is presenting their dance research at @thebentway ! This event is free and open to public. You can RSVP here (copy/paste on desktop):
https://thebentway.ca/event/dance-in-public-space-residency-showcase/
🌈 Over the past 4 months @charcarbone has been living in the work they call HOME BODIES, which explores safety and vulnerability in street dance using site responsiveness and mindfulness. Their PhD-esque approach began with an intense af 7 page 2778 word write up of their research plans, but these plans have softened so much in practice. The beauty of this process based residency has been the malleability to meet people/ideas/feelings where they are at, and run in new directions as new tangents arrive.
🌼Where: The Bentway (wooden amphitheater by Strachan Ave)
🌼When: Wed Sept 13 from 8-9pm
🌼What: street dance performance, artist talk, and afterparty
