🌟KG＋2026 is finally here!🚩
KG＋2026 ついに開幕！
KYOTOGRAPHIE、そしてKYOTOPHONIEと同時開催となるKG＋が、本日よりスタートしました。
過去最多の公募を記録した「KG＋ SELECT」をはじめ、京都各地を舞台に約220もの多彩な写真展が1ヶ月間にわたって開催されます。
KG＋の開催にあたり、ご協力いただいた全ての皆さま、そしてこの日のために作品を磨き上げてきたアーティストの皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。
黄色い旗を目印に、地図やアプリを片手に、春の京都を巡る写真の旅へ出かけてみてください。

Alongside KYOTOGRAPHIE and KYOTOPHONIE, KG＋ kicks off today!
For the next month, approximately 220 exhibitions—including the highly anticipated "KG＋SELECT"—will transform the entire city of Kyoto.

【KG＋SELECT 2026：進化するアワード｜The Evolving Award】🚩
いよいよ明日4月18日に開幕する「KG＋2026」。くろちく万蔵ビルを舞台に、KG＋のアワード部門である「KG＋SELECT 2026」10組のファイナリストによる展覧会がスタートします。本展は最終審査の場でもあり、展示を通して10組のファイナリストから1組のアワード受賞者が選出。受賞者は2027年のKYOTOGRAPHIEメインプログラムの一つとして招聘され、さらなる展開が期待されます。さらに今年は、イギリスの写真雑誌「British Journal of Photography」によるスペシャル・メンションも決定。ファイナリストの中から1名が選出され、誌面特集が組まれます。

アワードの発表は4月19日の夜。2026年はどの作家が選ばれるのか、お楽しみに

「KG+SELECT」は、キャリアや世代を問わず世界中から集まったエントリーの中から、国際的に活躍する審査員により選出された10組のアーティストが展覧会を開催。アワード受賞者（KG＋SELECT Award Winner）が1組選ばれ、翌年のKYOTOGRAPHIEオフィシャルプログラムの1つとして展覧会が開催されます。

“KG＋SELECT 2026,” the award section of KG＋, opens tomorrow, April 18.
Held at Kurochiku Makura Building, the exhibition features 10 finalist artists. This exhibition also serves as the final stage of the selection process, where one award winner will be chosen. The selected artist will be invited to present their work as part of the KYOTOGRAPHIE 2027 main program, opening up further international opportunities. This year, the UK-based magazine British Journal of Photography will also select one artist for a Special Mention, with a feature in the magazine.
The award winner will be announced on the evening of April 19.

KG＋のアワード部門として2019年に始まった公募型コンペティション。
世界中から集まった中から、選考により選ばれた10名のアーティストが1ヶ月にわたり展覧会を開催します。
国際的に活躍する審査員が実際の展覧会を審査し、グランプリに選出されたアーティストは、翌年のKYOTOGRAPHIEにて展覧会を開催します。

Within the Exhibition program, there are 3 distinct categories to discover. Check out the reel to see more! 📸

🟡 KG＋SELECT Supported by Sigma
An open-call competition launched in 2019 as the award division of KG＋.
Out of numerous applicants from around the world, 10 selected artists will hold exhibitions for one month.
An international jury will review the physical exhibitions, and the Grand Prix winner will be invited to hold a solo exhibition at the following year's KYOTOGRAPHIE.

今回は4月26日に堀川御池ギャラリーにて開催した、＜K-Youth × KG＋ Portfolio Exchange＞の様子をお届けします。

本プログラムは、京都と韓国をつなぐ若手アーティストのための国際交流プロジェクト「K-Youth × KG＋ Youth」の一環として実施されました。
当日は、第一次選考を通過した10名のアーティストが、日本と韓国の作家や審査員と対面し、直接作品について議論を交わす貴重な交流の場となりました。
それぞれの表現について深く掘り下げる時間は、参加者にとって自身の位置を見つめ直す、大きな刺激となったようです。
そして、審査の結果、今年の秋に韓国へ招聘される5名のアーティストが決定いたしました！

今回は4月26日に堀川御池ギャラリーにて開催した、＜K-Youth × KG＋ Portfolio Exchange＞の様子をお届けします。

本プログラムは、京都と韓国をつなぐ若手アーティストのための国際交流プロジェクト「K-Youth × KG＋ Youth」の一環として実施されました。
当日は、第一次選考を通過した10名のアーティストが、日本と韓国の作家や審査員と対面し、直接作品について議論を交わす貴重な交流の場となりました。
それぞれの表現について深く掘り下げる時間は、参加者にとって自身の位置を見つめ直す、大きな刺激となったようです。

KG＋2026では、次世代のアーティストや写真文化を育むための教育プログラム「KG＋Academy」の一環として、堀川御池ギャラリーにて大きく二つのプログラムを実施しました。今回はそのうちの一つ、4月25日に開催した＜K-Youth × KG＋ Symposium＞の様子を振り返ります。

テーマ：「写真はどこで成立するのか——日韓の実践・制度・社会を横断して」
写真家、研究者、プラットフォーム運営者という異なる専門性を持つ登壇者が、日本と韓国における若手写真家の環境、AIの台頭によるリアリティの変容、そしてこれからの「写真が成立する場」について議論を交わしました。国境を超えた視点から、今の写真を取り巻く状況を深く掘り下げる貴重な機会となりました。

ダイナー、工業製品、朽ちゆくドライブ・イン。都会と田舎。写真家・呉屋慎吾が2025年夏に旅したカリフォルニア、オレゴン、ワシントンの3 州。そこでうつし出されたのは、1960～70年代が息づく、アメリカの「時代の匂い」をまとった作品群です。
本展では、新たに撮影された作品とともに未発表の作品も展示されます。彼ならではのまなざしで切り取られたオリジナルプリントは美しく、確かな存在感を放っています。さらに体験型の展示となる貴重なステレオ写真は、旅の記憶を鮮明に呼びさまし、鑑賞者に不思議な懐かしさをもたらします。ステレオ写真は、焦点の異なる同じ画角の2枚のフィルムを同時に見ることで立体感を生み出す技法で、「3D 写真」とも呼ばれています。ビンテージのステレオカメラで撮影されたフィルムを、同年代のステレオビューアーに差し込み、双眼鏡のようにのぞき込む。そこには平面の写真では捉えきれない『時間の奥行き』が、温かみを持った景色となって現れます。輪郭は曖昧なまま、けれど当時の空気の匂いまではっきりと感じられ、VRに代表されるデジタルな擬似空間とは全く異なる、身体感覚に訴えるこの写真体験は、自身の思い出のように深く心に刻まれ、次なる旅への確かな道標となるでしょう。
本展は『OFO BY INHERIT GALLERY（東京・代田）』での展示をベースとした巡回展であり、同ギャラリー、および写真集『ALBUM』を出版した『PPAPERS』の協力のもと開催されます。
