Reminiscing on — and grateful for — 6.5 years at @xtr and @asteriafilmco This job came into my life at the exact right moment ⚡️and was the first time I could meld my love of writing with production.
Met so many cool, creative weirdos, developed literally a thousand ideas/projects with @rockauteur , produced some incredible docs, and embraced AI as the company expanded into ethical AI production.
There are too many people to tag directly, but you know who you are.
Here are some of my favorite moments…
1. After the premiere of Lazarus (pictured left), the first ever screening at the original XTR office, and one of our first iconic group photos.
2. The OG crew at Sundance 2020. Shoutout to Zack Bia and the Utah Jazz for (unknowingly, allegedly?!) spreading COVID at our party.
3. Photo taken March 9th, 2020. We were all happy and weirdly color coordinated and had NO idea that we wouldn’t be coming back to that office the following week (or ever).
4. Not technically an XTR photo, but pictured with my bff, schemer, biggest supporter, and baller babe ELC at the afterparty for her Netflix doc BRITNEY VS SPEARS.
5. Director @lina_lyte and actor/participant Anna Konkle filming MSNBC Films PERIODICAL.
6. The premiere of Apple TV’s THEY CALL ME MAGIC.
7. After the sweaty premiere of BUTTERFLY IN THE SKY at Tribeca.
8. Visuals for AMC’s ALL OF THEM WITCHES directed by @monaa.panchal
9. Me and the best fellow-turned-dev associate @joannkohng at our Echo Park studio (RIP ALVARADO)
10. Justin and I at ROKU CITY at SXSW… truly the best brand activation I’ve seen since VICE’s in the early 2010s.
11. Classic Carlos and Jack.
12. Taking the HIGH WAY in NYC.
13. The LA PERIODICAL premiere.
14. Proof of existence at our time at Sunset Gower. We were all confused.
15. We got billboards for Freeform x Hulu’s SASHA REID AND THE MIDNIGHT ORDER. Surreal.
16. Moi at the Asteria launch party… we went tech.
17. Best day during the Asteria x Moonvalley offsite.
(Not pictured: annual mechanical bull riding at SXSW, ANY images with @mintagoeswest and Timothy from my short but rich time on the Applied Tech team, and more photos of the Asteria bros and gals.)

🏛️🫧🧜🏻♀️ If William Hearst invited you to his “ranch,” you could stay as long as you’d like. If he wrote about you, your life changed overnight.🌟 He had a long-term mistress, a private zoo 🦓🦩, and of course some questionable politics, BUT he worked with a female architect, which was unheard of at the time, Julia Morgan, collecting art from all around the world tobuild the masterpiece that is “La Cuesta Encantada” (The Enchanted Hill) aka The Hearst Castle.
I’d definitely wear a wool unitard bathing suit for one night in The Neptune Pool. 😏

Spent a dreamy evening with a wild moon 🌕 and an even wilder friend @erinleecarr . I’d been wanting to see Bruce Monro’s 🌱🚥🌾FIELD OF LIGHT 🌾🚥🌱 since it opened in 2019, but I had multiple botched attempts due to Covid and relationships ending, etc. Five years later it’s as ✨magical✨ as I imagined. The ability to be awed and delighted by such simple beauty is not something I take lightly. Friendship too. Relationships come and go, but friendship is forever. ♥️🩷🧡💛💚🩵💜
