Don’t miss @iloveboostersmovie starring our girl @keke, only in theaters May 22.

1994 really gave us one of the greatest sitcom seasons of all time. 👏🏾 On this day, Season 2 of Martin came to a close after 27 iconic episodes.
Happy Mother’s Day to our favorite TV sitcom moms — and to all the mothers holding it down in real life. 💐
Mother’s Day weekend is here… which means the annual sibling competition for Mom’s attention has officially begun. 💐😂

The first half of 2026 is making one thing clear: Black cinema isn’t asking for space, it’s taking it.
And we’re just getting started — including I Love Boosters, one of the most anticipated films of the year starring our girl @keke — in theaters May 22nd.
How do you spell ICONIC? Akeelah and the Bee.
20 years ago today, this cult classic hit theaters, marking a defining breakout moment for Keke Palmer and a film that continues to inspire generations.

And we won’t stop ‘till we get enough. Moonwalking our way into opening weekend like... 🍿
On this day, Beyoncé dropped Lemonade — and didn’t just debut at #1… she shifted the culture.
It became the first album in history to have all 12 tracks chart on the Billboard Hot 100, blending music, film, and storytelling in a way that redefined how albums roll out.

She’s fresh! She’s cool! She’s coming to Tribeca NOW with The Rise & Fall of DivaGurl, a @keytvnetwork original.
Join Keke Palmer (@keke) and creator Lawrence Murray (@lawrencesmurray) on June 7 for a screening followed by a conversation moderated by NOW creator @tajrani about the show, an homage and satire drawing from the shenanigans of early aughts girl groups and pop culture.
It’s not to be missed. Head to the link in bio to explore our full NOW program, presented in partnership with @thelighthousecampus #Tribeca25th
Tribeca Festival is presented by @okx_official.

She transcended the constraints of the child star and the comic relief with ease. For her next chapter, @keke is setting the bar even higher.
The CULT100 cover star made her name by perfecting the underdog archetype—from early, titular roles in ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ and the Nickelodeon series ‘True Jackson, VP’ to Emerald Haywood, the horse-wrangling sister to Daniel Kaluuya in Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’—and a knack for virality. (She’s the woman who deadpanned to Amelia Dimoldenberg on Chicken Shop Date in 2022 that she’d like to be reincarnated as a rock.)
Recently, Palmer has found herself occupying more rarefied cinematic air—a character arc that’s been cemented with her role in Boots Riley’s anarchic satire, ‘I Love Boosters,’ in theaters this May. She plays the defiant kingpin of a Robin Hood-esque cohort that shoplifts luxury goods to resell at a discount as a form of “fashion-forward philanthropy.” Palmer’s comic snap and devil-may-care joie de vivre carry the laughs, but there’s a vulnerability to her performance that grounds the film’s more deranged impulses, allowing its big ideas to land harder. And then there are the side hustles—a podcast, a media and content company, two books, her musical career—that have turned the star into a dynasty that reaches far beyond Hollywood.

// The 100 individuals on CULTURED’s third annual CULT100 list span disciplines and generations. Some are household names, others operate behind the scenes. All of them are choosing risk over reward, curiosity over cynicism, and are shaping culture in real time. Each offers something that the algorithm never will. //
