Crossing this off my vision board✨
Special thanks to the @monadnyc team for putting on an amazing show, and @dokyii for including me in the “Timeless Tones” exhibition highlighting film photography.
Film was my introduction to photography, and the first medium I fell in love with, so this moment is super full circle.
Forever grateful to God for this gift and allowing me to connect with others through it💓

Digital & film photos inspired by Diana Ross’s “Love Hangover “
I was super obsessed with this song all summer and had to create an editorial that felt like the vibe 🎧

#CrüLüv • Heyyy, my name is Kenidee Ciera & I am a self-taught film and digital photographer. I was born in Atlanta, Georgia & raised in Covington, Georgia. Although flipping through my family photo albums when I was younger always fascinated me, becoming a photographer wasn’t a part of my initial plans. I took a film course in high school because I wanted to be an actress, never the one behind the camera. My journey with photography began 2 years ago, on a study abroad trip during my sophomore year of college, in Oaxaca, Mexico. I didn’t know much about cameras. I just knew I wanted to document my experience. Before the trip, I bought my first film camera from @ebay (@canonusa Rebel K2) and watched @youtube tutorials on camera settings & how to shoot film. While shooting in Mexico, I found it funny how I couldn’t see the movie; I would just hope I got a great shot. The intentionality behind the film made me so curious to learn more. After I got my film developed, I couldn’t help but keep shooting. Coming out of that trip, I created a love for documenting & a passion I wanted to further invest in.
My favorite part about photography is collaboration. I have connected with so many extraordinary individuals by relating to just one thing. The camera. It creates community with the people I collaborate with and those that I capture.
I have curated with @http.mercia, @qualitylenz, & @donnwavyy. I am grateful for any opportunities presented, but I would love to curate with @doechii, @essence, @exquisite_eye , and many others in the future. 📸

Black whimsy , a collection of digital portraits and polaroids highlighting the whimsical sectors/personalities of black people. When I think about the word “whimsy” it’s not often talked about in relation to black identity. I hoped to create something refreshing by highlighting the more imaginative approaches to life. I aimed to highlight black dandyism, camp, beauty, & alter egos. Black people have always paved a way for these forms of expression. This is an ode to that ;)
