🎬 Hot @adobe tip: ‘Double Stabilization’ for short, shaky handheld timelapses. I figured out this trick last year and have used it on all of my wonky handheld timelapses/shutter bursts since. The images were all shot handheld (no tripod) so naturally, you get a bit of camera shake even AFTER applying the standard warp stabilizer in Premiere Pro.

First colourgrade in LR > open as layers in PS
1st stabilization: Align layers (transform on 50% opacity if you need to correct angles). This will get you 90% stable.
2nd stabilization: Premiere Pro Warp stabilizer. Should be pretty much stationary at this point.
3rd stabilization (bonus round): After Effects stabilization. (Only if you need it) Should be dead centre still at this point. It may auto-crop quite a bit so use sparingly.

One Year On 🪽
I was 22 when we lost Dad.
Then two years later, Mum.

I was able to navigate the grief because God blessed me with 3 loving older siblings & our partners.

But the grief I’ve felt these past 365 days since losing our brother Kevin, so sudden and unexpected, two days before our wedding, rushed off the damn plane, so excited to see him after covid and travels kept us apart — is a pain so great, that even one year on — I’m still in disbelief.

Yet the reason it’s so painful is because of the all the joy we shared together. And we get to relive that joy; every time we talk to his friends, re-watch his videos and laugh at all the crazy lives he experienced in his short 42 years on earth.

Thank you for letting me be your little brother.
You’ve left your egg head shaped hole in our hearts @pkmendoza . 3 out of 6 gone.
Heaven is gonna be a wild reunion.

We love you and miss you so much.

I was 22 when we lost Dad.
Then two years later, Mum.

I was able to navigate the grief because God blessed me with 3 loving older siblings & our partners.

But the grief I’ve felt these past 365 days since losing our brother Kevin, so sudden and unexpected, two days before our wedding, rushed off the damn plane, so excited to see him after covid and travels kept us apart — is a pain so great, that even one year on — I’m still in disbelief.

Yet the reason it’s so painful is because of the all the joy we shared together. And we get to relive that joy; every time we talk to his friends, re-watch his videos and laugh at all the crazy lives he experienced in his short 42 years on earth.

Thank you for letting me be your little brother.

I met this girl traveling in Tulum, Mexico.
She was a travel author/blogger and I was just starting to shoot for travel companies. So we teamed up.

Little did I know, that for +15 years she’d been living 3 streets away from me back home in Sydney.
And just so happened to go to my primary school.
And was friends with my brother.
And I never bumped into her.
