this is my uncle hugh aka my lifelong model for great bluegrass tenor singing. hugh just recorded one of my new songs. he’s been working on a new record and heard this new one “look down blue bell” and asked if he could record it. hell yes uncle hugh. im lucky i got to grow up around some killer banjo playing. check out Hugh Moore on streaming and also listen to his great 1986 record “Hello City Limits” to understand why i love that righteous era of bluegrass featuring pedal steel and electric bass. also this new track features @michaelclevelandfiddle on twin fiddles. very sick. im honored. thanks @therealhmoore (also that inlay…jealous i didn’t have the idea)

I’m still trying to teach my teen dog to leave me alone while I drive (ok tbh I like it) but even in that moment I am a better operator of heavy machinery than any hands holding the wheel of state. for further examples of my powers of metaphor check out the aforementioned song “cowboy movie.”
