Every so often, a project comes along that shifts what’s possible.
A hugely ambitious brief. Do something no one has ever attempted.
These are the moments Celestial is trusted to fly.

The brief was simple: recreate RMS Titanic in the very place she was built, and sail her over the water once again.

No one alive today has ever seen the true scale and majesty of this legendary ship in real life.

This week, in collaboration with the BBC as part of their Made Of Here campaign, we changed that.

Using close to 1,000 drones above Belfast Harbour, Celestial recreated Titanic in the night sky, marking the moment of her historic departure on the eve of her anniversary.

A full 1:1 scale replica, built from original CAD plans and presented as a single, 10-minute animated reveal for broadcast.

An unbelievable privilege.

Tonight @celestial_drones will be flying the UK’s largest drone light show on Britain’s Got Talent.

Live broadcast shows demand careful preparation and absolute trust across the entire team. With only one opportunity to fly it live, a significant amount of preparation and late nights sit behind moments like this, often unseen.

Celestial has evolved over time, shaped by different people at different stages of its journey. Tonight reflects where the company stands today and the clear direction this team is now taking it.

I am proud to lead the team bringing this performance to air and, hopefully, bring a bit of joy to those watching. None of it happens without them.

It is not every day this industry places you on a national television stage, and I am grateful for the opportunity and for the people around me who continue to shape the next chapter.

It feels like the start of an exciting new phase for Celestial.

The performance will air tonight from 7pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV.

Every once in a while I get asked to work on a very special project that is above and beyond the rest of the year’s work. Being responsible for displaying the images of King Charles III & the late Queen Elizabeth II in the form of drones to a global audience is one of them.

Working with @celestial_drones as Production Designer, to a very tight deadline, it took a monumental effort by the entire team to secure the authorisation to fly 400 drones 50 meters from 10 Downing Street and to design and refine a visual moment that will resonate for decades to come.

A career highlight without a doubt.

Expertly produced by all at @identityglobal
Beautifully lit by @tim_routledge_lighting_design and team.
Stunning fireworks by @titanium_fireworks
Slick as ever by the @bbc
