Jess Henwick
Hiker trash. Made a thing on a phone you can watch ⬇️

Spent this morning trying to figure out whether there are any other shorts called ‘Bus Girl’ because BABY WE GOT A @BAFTA NOM!
I brought a ticket to the Children’s Bafta Ceremony when I was 17 because I was curious what it was like (?!), essentially paying to be a seat filler. I’ve had my ticket pinned to my bedroom wall ever since. Can’t believe I get to go back this year as a director with our little @thephonetrilogy 🥲🙏

Long before Jessica Henwick (@jhenwick) was trading scenes with Glenn Powell or auditioning for Rachel Weisz projects, she was watching; really watching. Shadowing filmmakers, directing short films and quietly building a visual language she couldn’t yet name. Now, with a debut feature about two women, obsession and addiction taking shape, the apprenticeship is almost over. But with her latest role in How to Make a Killing, Henwick isn’t moving behind the camera permanently any time soon.

Introducing our Reality vs. Fantasy cover star, Jessica Henwick (@jhenwick) 🖤
Jessica Henwick grew up lost in fantasy realms and sci-fi galaxies, worlds that now form the backdrop of the Game of Thrones star’s career. As she steps into the quieter, more human role of Ruth in A24’s How to Make a Killing, Henwick instead draws on burnout, a fake fringe and the radical act of dreaming smaller. “Success to me is: am I happy? Am I healthy?” the actor says. “I don’t want to lose myself so completely that six months go by and I realise I haven’t done anything for myself.”
