'The Fountain' - a collaborative artwork by Jack Wansbrough, Oliver Hull, Pascale Giorgi, Kieron Broadhurst, Jessee Lee Johns and Jess Day.

This artwork acts as a narrative sequel to their 2023 collaboration 'The Rock Pool', engaging with the commodification and exploitation of counter-culture utopias. It proposes a drilling into and pouring out from, a transfer of materials and energies.

The exhibition opens 6pm Friday the 23rd of January at Old Customs House in Fremantle.

Friday at 7am we petition the Glorious Being of Free Baths for our weekly ablutions, also at the temple.

And behind the Naval Store the New Bayswater Post Office will be open Saturday, and the final two instalments of our concerts in the park will be happening Friday and Saturday nights.

The New Bayswater Post office (behind the Naval Store) will be open from 11am-3pm. Postcards will be available for you to mail back to Australia, and Passport “photos” will be available.

Over the last month I built a temple to serve as the state religion for the Commonwealth Of New Bayswater. It is devoted to the Glorious Beings of small favours.

This morning we petition the Glorious Being of free baths.

Opening this Friday at 6!

Out in the woo woo' is an often dismissive phrase used to describe ideas or a series of thoughts that are unscientific, unproductive and not grounded in reality. The phrase itself conjures a topsy turvy physical world outside of our reality which is built through wooly and muddled trains of thoughts and language. The Woo Woo features artists who all incorporate language, words and utterances into their work, showing how chit-chat, groans, profanity and bureaucratic speech can all produce new realities.

Post office is open today, 12 - 5pm behind naval store

Come see what @emiliemonty_and @__maymaa have been working on during their residency this last few weeks!

The New Bayswater postal service has been made possible with much needed foreign aid from the Western Australian Government’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

This month artists Mayma Awaida (@__maymaa) and Emilie Monty (@emiliemonty_) have been occupying the New Bayswater General Post Office and exploring a project called "The Longest Echo". They have been spending most twilights relishing in some witchy candle-lit activities, including some secret tattoo offerings. In exchange, they have recorded short voice excerpts that will be distributed via the post office’s delivery service as anonymous love letters

This is the last in the current series of residencies at the post office, and this Sunday may 7th the post office will be open again, 12 to 5pm, behind the naval store.

The New Bayswater postal service has been made possible with much needed foreign aid from the Western Australian Government’s Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

@amokisland is the latest artist in residence at the New Bayswater Post GPO. He has produced this wonderful a2 jumbo postcard documenting the flora and fauna of New Bayswater. They are printed using paint and some pigments prepared at the post office using materials found on site.

The postcards will be available to send back to Australia when the post office is open tomorrow, April 9th, between 12-5pm behind the naval store in Fremantle

We have been led to believe it’s some kind of national holiday in Australia tomorrow, so if you feel the need to escape whatever madness accompanies such occasions, New Bayswater will be happy to provide sanctuary!

Over the last week, in my capacity as the Commonwealth Of New Bayswater’s ambassador to Australia, and working with Subiaco Voice Of Youth, Spaced and the City Of Subiaco, I have been building The Subiaco Object Exchange.

The object exchange is an important economic/cultural institution in New Bayswater. It allows New Baysians to satiate their consumerist inclinations by swapping an unwanted object for one more desired.

Bringing this institution to Australia is part of New Bayswater’s foreign aid program, which we desperately hope will further legitimise our tiny nation.

2. Scented candle with imitation pearls
3. A piece of chain from a damaged bike lock that in the course of separating from the chain caused me to smash my finger with a hammer pretty bad leading to a swim in which I was unable to dislodge water from my ear due to the pain of the smashed finger ending in an ear infection. The doctor said he only really sees ear infections in children

The Subiaco Object Exchange will be open from 4.30pm, Friday March 24th, and from 10-4 the following Saturday and Sunday.

Come by and swap one thing for another thing.

Jess Tan @_d_i_g_e_s_t_i_n_g_has been in residence at the New Bayswater General Post Office for the last month. She has made various things/upgrades to the building.
