That’s a wrap for me on BUTTERFLY. So nice to start the year off with a feature. Such a lovely team and great cast. I can’t wait to watch the finished film.

I know the world seems to have really ramped up the crazy (and it’s only January 🫤) but I’m choosing to stay positive, I have a good feeling about 2026.

Delighted to be starting 2026 with an independent feature lined up, shooting in January.

BIG NEWS - Merry Christmas. @jessblakeactor & I have recorded a brand new series of our dramatic monologue podcast 'Reawakened Star'. We explore the female roles in Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. Jess acts every role (amazingly) + I write the scripts. Feel merry.

Monologue 1 -
'The Belle Is Ringing Out' - Belle ends her engagement to a young Ebeneezer Scrooge because of his love of money.

Monologue 2 -
'Rob The Dead' - Mrs Dilber sells Scrooge's stolen belongings after he has passed away on the rough streets of London.

Monologue 3 -
'Merry Christmas Mr Frederick Scrooge' - Clara helps her husband Frederick regain his festive mood, after his gift is rejected by his Uncle Ebeneezer. Clara rescues his (and also her own!) Christmas.

It's the most magical Christmas novel ever + recording newly written monologues based on Charles Dickens has been really fun.

An enormous thank you to Jess for acting every role so excellently + her redraft notes really helped me get these monologues on the right track while I was writing them also. She really is talented.

I watched LOST ATOMS by @frantic_assembly at @mayflower.studios and holy crap what a show. All the feels, beautiful, heartbreaking, real.

Kudos to the two actors for putting in incredible performances, and really original set and staging, enhanced by the physical theatre aspects of the show.

If you get a chance to see it, do. Stunning.

I’m so excited to launch this new project. @thecoldheartrevueofficial and I have worked on podcasts together for years now. We’re both huge animal lovers and for a long time have talked about doing a pod that is a fun, lighthearted look into the weird and wonderful animal kingdom. Well we’ve got off our buts and done it. It’s informative, it’s silly and it’s upbeat.

Everything feels very heavyand dark in the world right now. This pod is designed to be a bit of an antidote, a fun, lighthearted delve into the glorious world of animals. So you can switch off from the world for 10/15 minutes and learn something about our furry friends.

The first three eps are out today, and they’re all Halloween themed. We’ve got:

Ep 1 - Vampire disco squid from hell
Ep 2 - Stuff of nightmares
Ep 3 - Mice, spiders and bird noises

New episode of mine and @thecoldheartrevueofficial podcast #reawakenedstar is out now.

This is a series of poems written by the wonderfully talented David Robinson, performed by me, each very different. This season is all about Shakespearean women. The latest episode is a fictional diary entry of the night that the globe theatre burnt down in 1613.

Working on this podcast has been a joy - you can catch REAWAKENED STAR on Apple Podcasts, and this episode is also on @bbcsounds as we were featured last night on @bbcupload (right at the end of the episode)
