Now I never show up late to gigs, but this night I was 90 minutes late because I had 2 gigs prior that day and 4 gigs prior that weekend (2 Friday, 2 Saturday). 90 minutes after I arrive Jeezy and his people show up - they are cool, we communicate well and I know what it is.The venue is very solid in what it wants played - lots of Afro house, deep house and smidge of amapiano and Afro beats which is a great dinner soundtrack IMO.Jeezys people wanted to keep it light on the hip hop and told me to “do your thing, its all good”.

After 2 hours of your favorite house remixes, soulful house, deep house, etc I was ready to switch the room up and dropped “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” by Angie Stone - at that point I watched Jeezy rise up from his seat with a glass of red and point at me like “ok lets go”. For the next 2 hours I dropped funk, soul, all the cool rap samples that we love (and alot that people dont know) and much more.

Whenever my guy @djrayvon_ asks me to DJ it is an automatic yes - I was fortunate to DJ this past Sunday in Richmond at #RecessOntheJames and it was a FUNCTION!@

@frankrite804 CRUSHED his set and as soon as I was done rockin @sbstnvga went crazy and CRUSHED his!

Also - my rant was influenced by poor urban design, skateboarding, and having a torn meniscus - lets go!

Stripes over checks..early morning PSA because the 1987er in me would have never, but trends and style change and these grey chin hairs look better with a Ralph sweater than a Stussy shirt.

I also understand that no 12 year old should be worried about “brand loyalty” more than getting good grades and being a gentle, kind hearted person - but have u seen a Nike tennis fit executed perfectly?COLD 🎾🎾🎾
