Joey Vayda’s @joeyvayda passion for movement began at just 14, with performance art following soon after at 17. After moving to Los Angeles, she spent years performing at underground venues and live shows before co founding the Midnight Sun Fire Performance group.

Following her relocation to Northern California, Joey immersed herself in belly dance and traveled through India and Southeast Asia, studying Odissi Indian classical dance and other traditional forms. She later helped revive the Luminesque Fire Performance group, dedicating years to creating elaborate costumes and intentional performance art.

After an eight year retirement, Joey returned to the stage this summer, bringing with her a deep well of experience, artistry, and a commitment to creating performances that connect and inspire community ✨
