Unforgettable Memories with Nadia šø
Yes we finally made it! Huge shoutout to @nadiahungco for making our dream come true with her incredible flexibility, passion and professionalism.
We initially scheduled our sakura shoot in March, but unfortunately, the bloom was delayed and most of the hotspots hadnāt started blooming yet-completely unexpected. I knew Nadia had been searching different locations, sending me videos and keeping me updated along the way. Meanwhile, we had already booked our flights to Vancouver months in advance, and were non-refundable.
When we arrived, neither the weather nor the flowers seemed to cooperate-typical Raincouver for sure. Just when we were losing hope of getting the scenes we wanted, Nadia proactively suggested new ideas and alternatives so our effort wouldnāt go to waste. Thatās how we ended up with the Vancouver cityscape shots which turned out to be unexpectedly adorable when I saw the photos.
But that wasnāt the end of Nadiaās wholehearted effort. She generously offered us another complimentary session in April to catch the sakura bloom and even prepared a bouquet for me for the second shoot. OMG! Iāve never experienced such a thoughtful and caring gesture. She truly didnāt have to do that, especially since bloom timing and weather are so unpredictable, and she had already done more than enough. We were honestly shocked and so touched.
A few days after we left, the flowers started blooming, which made us wonder if they would last another two weeks. Still, Nadia didnāt stop- she kept searching for the best locations, driving around and sending me options to choose from. I could truly feel her passion and dedication. Maybe even the universe was touched and gave us one more chance.
Because of this, we made a second trip to Vancouver within two weeks-this time by road instead. Thanks hubby for driving 13 hours straight from Calgary so we could make it in a day and save on costs. We joked that we must have used up all our luck of the year to get that perfect moment.
And then-there it was. Soft sunlight, a dreamy white sakura tunnel⦠it felt like we were in JapanšøAbsolutely magical šŖ Thank YOU for everything Nadiaš
