Hey my friends, today is a special day for me because I get to share my debut album Make a Lobster Clap... and Iβm only 41! Itβs been about a year in the making, though some song ideas date back to my time in NY. These songs, like the last collection I shared, stem from improvisations, only this time on drum machines and synthesizers instead of piano. For this album, I imagined a bar band on an alien world with lobsters in the audience and slime on the floor.
Thank you to all my friends who have contributed to this project. Thank you to @a.cardenas for the best artwork, @nitejewel for your synth contributions and support through the production of the album. Thank you @scottgilmore__ for playing the drum machine on The World Outside, @bombbass1014 for playing bass on Hiromi, @jralph for recording time at the village, and @uppynewman for the steel drum. hi everyone, wanted to let u know that i released a collection of piano improvisations recorded on my phone in 2012 in nyc, sirens and all. every one of these tracks was recorded spontaneously in one take, leading to some unexpected results. the one here is called PAL Drama and you can listen to the full album via the link in my bio. btw i was watching a ton of poirot at the time.
also, goes w out saying that it hasnβt been easy to connect with friends and all during lockdown so think of this as my way of reaching out to u β€οΈ
