I recently delivered an order of 8 Helen Dining Chairs to go with the dining table I built last summer. I had a great time working on them with @studioklager at his shop in Prince George. Appreciation post for @ben.piqueurgaucher_gma.auriou at Auriou for making amazing rasps by hand. A lot of the shaping for The Helen Dining Chair arms and back is done with one of their rasps. These@things do a lot of work fast. I love this tool. You can feel the quality immediately. Once I rough it out with the rasp, it’s easy to smooth it out with a palm sander. Currently finishing up an order of eight.

My first post in a long time. Today was a big day. After dealing with a severely torn shoulder and a surgery that didn’t work, for 25 years, I got it fixed. None of my rotator cuff ligaments were doing a thing and the biceps tendon was a mess too. The sewed me back up and cleaned up a bunch of scar tissue.The surgeon said he was very pleased with how it went. I’m really looking forward to having a shoulder that works again. Just look at that smile!

This year, I put down more kilometres on my bicycle than I ever have in a single year. I averaged about 30km per day all spring and summer. I absolutely love my @bombtrackbicycleco! Big thanks to @jdeme for hooking it up and thanks Bombtrack for the amazing ride! I'm already pumped for next spring!

Thank you so much to @bmxhof and @usabmx for hosting such a great event! Everything was top notch! A few photos. It was so cool seeing @tjlavin, Oscar and Hugo Gonzalez (also inducted), Oz from BMX Action Mag, and the super fast @kimhayashi10 (inducted as well). I finally ate breakfast at the @parkcrestdiner in Burnaby! No website, and they don’t seem to care about instagram. Just a beautiful mid mod room, really nice people running it, and classic diner food. I will definitely return!
