Es war einmal ein Twink. Der Twink lebte in einem großen Schloss mit hohen Mauern und langen Vorhängen. Man sagt, wenn ein Twink geboren wird, bekommt ein jeder von ihnen sein eigenes Schloss mit hohen Mauern und langen Vorhängen, um darin das bequemste und privilegierteste Leben zu führen, das man sich nur vorstellen kann. Bis zu jenem schicksalhaften Tag, an dem er berufen wird. Wenn er seine Blütezeit erreicht und wie ein reifer Pfirsich, gefüllt mit dem süßesten Saft, vom Baum gepflückt wird, um seine wahre Natur zu erkennen. Seine Berufung im Leben. Liebe? Besser: Sinn.
Doch was, wenn dieser Tag niemals kommt? Die Lebensspanne eines Twinks ist kurz. Die Zeit läuft und wie ein schleichendes Gift, nach und nach, bilden sich Spuren des Verfalls auf dem schlanken und haarlosen Körper. Feine Falten und Dehnungsstreifen tauchen auf, Haare beginnen zu wachsen, kräftig, dunkel und wuchernd wie Dickicht, sodass der Twink eher einem Tier ähnelt. Vielleicht einem Otter oder sogar einem Bären! Das unvermeidliche Ende naht: Death. Twink Death.
Once upon a time there was a twink. The twink lived in a big castle, with high walls and long curtains. They say, when a twink is born, they each get a castle with high walls and long curtains of their own, to reside in and live the most comfortable and privileged life one could ever imagine. Until one faithful day, they might be called upon. When they reach their prime and get plucked off a tree like a ripe peach, filled with the sweetest juice, to find their true nature. Their calling in life. Love? Better: Purpose.
But what if that day never comes? A twink’s lifespan is short. Time crawls up on them, leaving marks of decay on their slim and hairless body. Fine lines and stretch marks appear, hair starts to grow, sturdy, dark and thick like weed, so that the twink rather resembles an animal. Maybe an otter, or even a bear! The imminent ending is near: Death. Twink Death.

KOSTÜM
Jasmin (Xenia) Knitter wurde im Mai 1999 geboren und wuchs in Berlin auf. Seit Kindheitstagen gehören Mode und das Erzählen von Geschichten zu ihren größten Leidenschaften. Geprägt von der Berliner Clubkultur und ihren nächtlichen Streifzügen durch die Stadt fließt ihr Sinn für Farbe, Authentizität und Kontraste in ihre Arbeiten ein.
Nach ihrer Ausbildung an der Modeschule Berlin @modeschuleberlin (Abschluss 2021) arbeitete sie als Kostümassistentin an verschiedenen Theaterhäusern im deutschsprachigen Raum. Seit der Spielzeit 24/25 ist sie fest an der Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz @volksbuehne_berlin engagiert. Erste eigene Kostümarbeiten entstanden ab 2023 für Kurzfilme der Filmuni Babelsberg @filmuni , freie Musikvideoproduktionen, die Münchener Biennale @muenchenerbiennale sowie im Roten Salon der Volksbühne. „Die Kantine“ ist ihre zweite Zusammenarbeit mit Nico Sauer @nicosauer_ – doppelt hält bekanntlich besser.
