a lot of things to be grateful for this ygp ph season ❤️🔥
first, i’d like to take this opportunity to thank teacher @sofiaelizalde @steps.ph for giving me the opportunity to compete in both classical and contemporary. to my coaches @pushkinmisha , @pamsie_8976 , @junsaagundo , and @sickledsam — thank you for the trust and for every correction. and especially to @sickledsam for choreographing my first contemporary solo, a privilege to work with you. this has been such a journey for me — lots of reflecting along the way, much more challenging mentally than physically — but i’ve discovered and learned a lot about myself, how my body works, and how i approach things when they get difficult (which is most of the time 😆)
i’m also thankful to my parents who were able to watch me compete.
and ofc, to our ensemble, motherland — congratulations to all of us, and thank you for supporting each other this season. being surrounded by such amazing talents pushed me to become better each time. ❤️🩹
landing in the top 12 for my first time in this competition — i guess that’s not bad for someone who started ballet in his late teenage years (lol) 🥹
sharing some of my favorite photos from the competition!
