what i want to talk about as i enter my 35th rotation around the sun is:

fear and how it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

as many of you may know, this year i left my serving job to focus on starting my own business, and for those who have done this knows how scary it can be. the feeling of uncertainty and asking myself “did i make a mistake? will i succeed?” is inevitable; however, the feeling of watching my life go by was even scarier.

for the latter half of 2025 i was feeling a huge pull from the universe to make the jump and my gut has yet to steer my wrong.

another reason i wanted to start my own business and work for myself is because i do have fear sometimes that i’m just watching my life go by while others are living theirs. one of my goals is to be able to work remotely anywhere in the world, so i can experience this world. this world is meant to be seen.

although this year i’m feeling the fear and not knowing what’s coming next, my mother always taught me: fear is temporary and once it subsides, we become a better version of ourselves. feeling fear just means i’m currently living outside my comfort zone; however, by existing outside of where i’m comfortable, it forces my comfort zones to grow and when my comfort zone is done growing, the fear will be gone and now i’ll be able to do bigger and scarier things.

right now i’m living outside my comfort zone, feeling that fear and accepting it.

thank you for all your continued love, support, and energy that inspires ME to live authentically and take up space unapologetically.

so, cheers to 35 and cheers to being 2 femme 4 them.

2026 is all about healing for me and what i realized is that i’ve been depressed for a while. therefore, the only logical solution was to go back to therapy so i can start healing some of the darkness in my brain.

i had my first session last weekend and i wanted to share the three main things that my therapist told me to focus on for the time being:

1.) put 100% of my energy into the relationships that are showing up for me.

i know this may sound like a no brainer; however, there are some relationships i’ve been focused on trying to strengthen or heal that just aren’t showing me support right now. my therapist recommended writing down the people who are helping me rebuild my foundation and take a huge step back from those that are not giving me any bricks to build with. this one is challenging because i’m an empath and a people pleaser and i don’t want to necessarily cut some people out; however, i currently have too much to navigate to commit to people who aren’t helping me.

2.) tell myself three good things about me.

i currently feel a lot of shame for where i am in my life and feel like a complete failure. obviously this type of discourse is not supportive. my therapist said she wants me, every morning, to say three nice things to myself and then write them down on a list i can look at.

my three good things today:

1.) i’m fun and people love being around me
2.) i’m so creative
3.) i’m supportive of others

3.) find a tangible thing i can hold that reminds me of living in London.

i shared with my therapist that the last time i truly felt happiness was when i was living in England. she recommended that i create something i can hold and touch and help me remember of that time. she said it would help ground me when my brain goes crazy.

is there anything your therapist said that really stuck with you / really helped you during a time of need?

fashion, film, and history, three categories referenced in pop culture often and inspires everything around us.

when i was designing this shoot, i asked myself:

“what happens when fashion, film, and history collide?”

this shoot was fueled by the power of women and some of my favourite references in each category. i wanted to depict female brilliance while honouring, what I consider, timeless works of art.
