This week’s progress on my bubble workflow for liquid pours 🍾

Turns out bubbles during an active pour are significantly harder than bubbles on settled fluid… way more turbulence, breakup, collision, and chaotic motion to control. But we’re getting there.

The coolest part is that this workflow is already around 70% transferable to other projects, which makes future setups much faster and more art-directable.

Paradigm “almost” got me here but I ended up running back to Houdinis native FLIP workflow. Viscosity at this level is still tricky, however, this is a case study highlighted how fast and powerful the @amd #threadripper9000 series of processors is very capable of going neck to neck with GPU fluid solvers and AI prompts (but with the advantage of explicit control) 😁. This was all done in the last 2 hours including render in @maxonredshift and slap comp in @foundryteam nuke indie. It’s not final definitely but it’s still faster than most for this kind of project!! 🤯 Let me know your thoughts or questions! 😎
