Na quinta-feira teremos apresentações num espaço muito especial no Arts District, no centro de Los Angeles. A primeira vez que visitei a cidade, passei por aquela região e pensei que um dia ainda me apresentaria ali. Esse dia chegou.

Com John Zalewski, grande designer de som, que fez da nossa peça uma experiência mais imersiva ainda. Hoje um grande amigo, o João/John é super premiado no teatro LA, um brasileiro com nome de gringo (olha quem tá falando!), que eu adoraria levar ele pra trabalhar em alguma produção no Brasil. Quem sabe um dia.

Nesse carrossel de lembranças da nossa semana de “tech rehearsal”, uma placa no banheiro do camarim, que diz: “todo drama deve permanente no palco”, depois uma foto com Jacob Hollens, que criou nossa luz por aqui, Mariana Goulart, nossa AD, o olhar da direção da Arieta nessa turnê.

Minha amiga da época em que fui intercambista do AFS em Cincinnati, Ohio, pegou um avião e veio me ver na estreia da peça na Califórnia. E assim aconteceu nosso reencontro, 31 anos depois: um no palco, outro na plateia. Thank you, Rachel! What a way to have a reunion.

Uma amiga dos tempos de colégio, de Florianópolis, a gente se conhece desde criança. São muitos anos, melhor nem começar a contar. Ela mora na Califórnia, chamou o marido, pegaram a estrada e vieram me ver no primeiro fim de semana da temporada. Obrigado, Carol!

E um amigo também do Brasil, que eu não via há anos, aparece de surpresa. Bato o olho nele num momento em que chego perto do público, o pensamento do ator invade o do personagem: “Que sujeito parecido com o Lê.” A peça termina, vou falar com as pessoas e descubro que era mesmo o Leandro. Como assim você está aqui?!

Que coisa linda reencontrar tantos amigos assim, ao vivo e por causa do teatro!
