From fashion sketching and wearable storytelling to exploring real-world design challenges, students expressed identity, creativity, and imagination through design. The day blended self-expression with design thinking, research, ideation, and collaboration — turning ideas into concepts with purpose.

ISDI Summer School Day 3

What happens when 3D printing becomes a design language?
In this lab, students built on the fundamentals of additive manufacturing and pushed their understanding of FDM printing further. Working in TinkerCAD, they designed and refined custom components for their Blix prototypes, learning how to think in layers, tolerances, and structural detail.
From digital model to printed object, the session deepened students’ grasp of fabrication, precision, and the relationship between intent and outcome.
Students experimented, problem-solved, and discovered how design moves between the screen and the physical world.

On Day 2 of ISDI Summer School, students explored the exciting intersection of form, function, and creativity through hands-on furniture design. Using simple geometric shapes as their starting point, they sketched, experimented, and transformed concepts into innovative pieces designed for real spaces. 🪑📐

From cubes becoming seating concepts to circles inspiring dynamic forms, every exercise pushed students to think beyond the obvious and approach design with curiosity and purpose.

Through ideation, spatial thinking, and creative problem-solving, participants discovered how thoughtful design can shape the way we live, move, and interact with spaces.

A remarkable milestone in student-led innovation at ISDI, ATLAS SkillTech University, as its students continue to push boundaries in support of India’s emerging defence-tech ecosystem. Students Dhanay Padmashali, Krishna Mistry, and Heet Jain have secured a prestigious ₹14 lakh MSME grant for project Bhrung - an autonomous defence rover designed to assist in critical and high-risk operations while addressing real-world challenges in the defence sector.

This achievement highlights how innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurial ambition at ISDI are driving impactful solutions beyond the classroom. It also reinforces the University’s commitment to nurturing future-ready talent that creates meaningful industry impact.
