For fellow geeks — @adobe Camera Raw (or @lightroom) HDR exports are notoriously unsupported here. There are a few tools out there, like @gregbenzphotography excellent (but paid) Web Sharp Pro or the Karachungen HDR Converter (but its results vary).

I made a rather experimental (free, open-source) CLI tool that accepts two images—one as a fallback and one as a gain map—and merges them into a single Instagram-supported HDR file. Have a look: https://github.com/kostis-kounadis/instagram-hdr-assembler
