Today, my portfolio website is born 🙂
IMPORTANT: I will be labeling all the photos with artist names within the next couple of days so that website viewers may get to know the awesome artists I’ve been lucky to enough to meet and work with 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m grateful for the music scene here in Utah. Thank you, you guys 🙏🏽

Lighten Up, Francis 🥵🥵🥵🥵 taken at the @theboardwalksound ‘s Battle of the Bands 4th night

Listen, guys. I’m definitely not complaining about this🤣 Before I get to the rest of the caption, I cannot stress enough how enjoyable of time this @joywave was for @stealingchairs and I. The show was great and the interview was an enjoyable time (the guys of Joywave are some dope people 😌).
One of the funny (at least to me) things about working for a magazine is the time that it takes for your photo to be published online 😅
These photos of Joywave were taken in like September/October of 2024. We did this on assignment from @tmrwmag . That article came out sometime in 2025. Here I am posting these in 2026 😂
It is definitely fun to upload photos as soon as you get them so people can get a somewhat live look of the shows you’re at. However, these pictures and the timing of this post gave me that feeling of nostalgia that you only get when you take the time to look through photos of days past. Ironically, even though I’m a photographer, I haven’t felt that way in a while. Here’s hoping you can soon feel that blissful, nostalgic feeling as well 🙂
Have a great day, everyone

2025 was a very difficult year BUT the one thing that stands out to me is this: the people.
I met so many people (and continued to work with people I met previously) that are sincere, down-to-earth, and hard working. No matter what was going on in my life at that moment, the vibes these people brought were like a respite for my soul.
Last year was a big change for me. I don’t share what follows to make the people I’ve met these last few months feel less than the people I’ve met before them. I share this to be transparent.
I thought I was going to be in Utah for a real long time😅 I had found a community and people that I loved being around and working with. I learned that I’m happiest when I’m part of something bigger than myself (pause). I felt like I had finally found that. Life had other plans and we ended moving back to my home state of Illinois. To be honest, it still hurts (more than I’ve talked about)to have left the state I’d been living in for 13 years.
Even though the move has been tough, I do see a little light at the end of the tunnel. I see it through the people that I’ve met in the Chicago music scene. I now think that @machin_._ ‘s song “Pitaya De Tayahua” is essential listening for anyone that says they like music. I think everyone needs to experience a @vatostristes set. I can only describe it as high-octane and punk asf. It’s one of only sets that have genuinely left me looking like this 😳 as I try to process how good the whole experience is.
2025 was definitely a year 😅 even though it was a transitional year, I’m looking forward to putting in work to see where 2026 takes me.
Thank you for everything,
Ivan🙏🏽

Thank you for everything,
Ivan🙏🏽

Imma keep it real on this one:
I was real nervous for this shoot 😅This was my first experience in a real studio setting (shoutout to @thefindlab for being so amazing to work with) . I actually left a filter in my car on purpose so that I could have time to walk back, pace, and breath before we really got the shoot started. Shoutout always to my brother @zachcolliernoise for his direction, creativity, and energy. It was so key to this shoot. Shoutout to @bamthecripple and @badassdad731 for being some of the most chill and agreeable people I’ve ever worked with. @numbskull_co , thank you for trusting us and creating something so sick. You had me wanting to put on the kits you brought myself 😅
A couple things that stood out to me from this shoot:
-The light behind Bam was made using a radial mask. I was thinking about those religious paintings where they got the light around their heads/bodies when I saw how the light and shadows were working in the studio.
-I don’t shoot film, shoutout to my brothers and sisters that do. I’ve never really delved into that editing/shooting style but the shoot called for something like that. I believe I found a medium point between my editing style and the grainy, filmy look. For that, the clarity, contrast, and grain slider were my best friends 😅
If you have any more questions or comments about the editing process, let me know through the comments or DMs! Have a good day, everyone!

I was recently asked about how I used the white balance and other color tools in my editing and I thought about this edit. This is the super talented @saemoreofficial (check out “Lucky Woman”, her latest release btw!) performing at the @velourlive Summer 2025 Battle of the Bands finals night. @lightroom mobile has a nice new feature that makes a video of your editing process. I’m happy to answer any questions in the comments below about the editing process/my editing process🫡

If you’ve ever wanted to freeze time at the beginning of something beautiful, BIZZY and her music captures that desire. In the end, spending a day with BIZZY felt like standing at the spark of something bright and boundless – a reminder that music, like new love, is at its best when it’s honest, a little reckless, and full of wide-eyed wonder.
“I think I was able to tap into that softer, more fragile kind of love because that’s exactly what I was going through at the time,” she told us at tmrw HQ about her latest song. “I was falling in love – and it was right at the very beginning, before you’re fully in it. You’re just starting to get to know this person, and everything they do feels like magic. I was able to capture that feeling in this song, which is why it’s one of my favorites.”
Her new single, “I Really Like This Part,” is now streaming everywhere courtesy of @bigloudrock.

The ability that motocross athlete Bam Bridges has to acquire new skills, improve his existing ones, and make life easier for fellow athletes with his condition is both innate and earned.
He was a go-getter before his accident who trained hard and had realistic dreams of qualifying for the X Games. Most people never even come close to that level of drive or skill. But his accident, while nearly extinguishing all of those dreams, also acted as a catalyst for him to do something truly transcendent and to amplify his efforts far beyond personal success. Now, in addition to personal athletic goals, he’s pouring his life into making the world a better place for those who need it most.
“I want to be the first paraplegic to do quarter pipe, because I don’t think anyone’s thought of that. And every time I bring it up, everyone thinks I’m psycho. But I think I’ll manage it with some time.”
Bam Bridges is in the print edition of tmrw #51. Here’s the behind the scenes footage of his tmrw shoot.

@sabrina.fairr has a gift 🤘🏽
She’s able to combine sincere, relatable lyrics with powerful instrumentation. The results? A memorable experience whether you’re catching one of her shows or listening to her music on a streaming service 😌 As you can tell, I was completely blown away when I heard her for the first time at @velourlive ‘s Battle of the Bands lol
Her debut album, lemon scented, releases in a few days (4/18)! Support local music and a dope artist by pre-saving it! ✊🏽
