Unter Atemschutz, als Höhenretter oder im Schutzanzug gegen chemische Gefahrstoffe – die Arbeitskleidung der Karlsruher Berufsretter ist so vielseitig wie ihre Aufgaben. Zum 100-jährigen Jubiläum der Karlsruher Berufsfeuerwehr, produziert der Karlsruher Medienkünstler Jonas Denzel derzeit die Show „𝗢𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 – 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗝𝗮𝗵𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗳𝘀𝗳𝗲𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗵𝗿“, die bei den diesjährigen SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELEN zu sehen sein wird.

Der Medienkünstler Jonas Denzel ist kein Unbekannter: Im Sommer 2018 steuerte er die Show „Hands on“ zu den SCHLOSSLICHTSPIELEN bei, die auf interaktive Elemente setzt und die Zuschauerinnen und Zuschauer zum Mitklatschen animiert. Existing for over 535 million years, the jellyfish is nature's ultimate survivor, and here it becomes a living reflection on the fragility of our ecosystem and the raw, primal force of life itself.

Colour Reflection uses over 765 coloured acrylic mirrors in 15 colours and four sizes, hung at varying heights to reflect both the space and the people within it. The work draws on the tradition of stained glass and the role of light, making hidden parts of the architecture visible while projecting colour throughout the interior. Playful yet considered, it invites each viewer into their own experience, shaped by how they move through the space and what they bring to it.

Colour Reflection uses over 765 coloured acrylic mirrors in 15 colours and four sizes, hung at varying heights to reflect both the space and the people within it. The work draws on the tradition of stained glass and the role of light, making hidden parts of the architecture visible while projecting colour throughout the interior. Playful yet considered, it invites each viewer into their own experience, shaped by how they move through the space and what they bring to it.
