Following his breakout success in Netflix’s global hit Wednesday, Hunter is proving he has far more to say, both on and off the screen. With The Wilderness—his debut as a producer—on the horizon, and a growing list of unforgettable roles, Doohan is stepping into his power as one of the most resonant voices of his generation.

From Wednesday’s second season (with part two premiering on September 3rd) to Daredevil: Born Again, he’s carved out a dark corner of Hollywood—now stepping fully into the genre as the lead of the upcoming Evil Dead.

With #Wednesday Season 2 part 1 now streaming, and part 2 around the corner, Hunter Doohan has returned to Tyler Galpin – but this time, the charming barista is long gone. Locked away in Willow Hill and abandoned by everyone, Tyler is volatile, vengeful, and without a plan for the first time. “The first half of the season is a lot of anger,” Doohan tells us. “But in the second half, you finally get to see what’s really driving him.”

Off set, Doohan has been diving into very different territory, from the intense indie drama The Wilderness (out October 17) to next year’s horror feature Evil Dead Burn. We caught up with him to talk rage, reinvention and what happens when your life changes overnight.
