But this one i treasure immensely. hesitant to release by how personal it was to put together, since most of these were recorded in Chicago, the memories of lending friends usbs with rough mixes to play at their gigs, racing home to craft together the sounds i just heard from smartbar, or bugging michael at gramaphone during our shipping hours if the mix sounded fine… i cherish & hold very dear 🖤

Bio: Mauricio Bahena, better known as Hush Hush, is an American-based DJ from North Carolina. In response to 2017’s Internet house music movement, ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ released on DJ Soch’s underground dance label Black Angus Rough on 12” vinyl has seen 5.5 million views on YouTube. He’s played behind-the-scenes underground parties in cities like Washington, D.C., Brooklyn, Detroit, Philadelphia and Chicago, before moving there in 2019 for his love of Chicago house. His music was played by Todd Edwards on BBC Radio1. At Gramaphone records, he worked with Michael Serafini and Garrett David, who organized Chicago’s most important LGBTQ party, “Queen! at Smartbar” sharing their love for dance records behind the DJ booth, he found his home.
