Our latest production, A Cinematic Affair, was more than a performance — it was a full creative journey. ✨

For our audience, it offered a nostalgic trip through iconic movie moments across the decades. But for our students, it was an education in versatility — exploring every era and style of dance while deepening their understanding of performance and storytelling.

Under the direction of Michelle Hopper, who curated every element from concept and choreography to costume and screen design, students experienced firsthand what it takes to bring a production to life. Working alongside acting coach Scott Johnson and vocal coach Vanessa Krummenacher, they developed not only as performers but as true artists — learning how to connect, adapt, and become the kind of performers that are hirable time and time again.

It’s productions like these that remind us why we love what we do — creating, learning, and growing together through the art of performance. ❤️

With over 25 years in the Australian performing arts industry, Michelle is a highly respected performer, choreographer, producer, and mentor whose career spans stage, screen, film, and television. Her credits include Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby, Happy Feet, The Masked Singer Australia, Dancing with the Stars, and performances alongside some of the biggest names in the business.

Michelle brings an incredible depth of experience and inspiration to Light The Way and her classes continue to be a highlight of the convention each year✨

✨ Season Squad: Every Season Belongs ✨

An original children’s musical coming to the stage in Sydney in the October school holidays!

This is a 60-minute live show for children up to age 8, built around four lead characters, each representing a season, each with equal weight, heart, and their own journey:

🌱 WINDY — Keeper of Spring
☀️ SUNNY — Keeper of Summer
🍂 BLAZE — Keeper of Autumn
❄️ CHILL — Keeper of Winter

It’s full of original music, colour, and emotion. It’s the kind of show I wish had existed when I was growing up.

We’ve assembled a world-class team to bring Season Squad to life!

We’re looking for four extraordinary Sydney-based (or willing to relocate) performer-singers (+ 2 swings) who can sing, dance, act, and most importantly, connect with a young audience in a big, joyful way.
